For those of you who can’t see it, he’s literally water-skiing, playing on the beach, and says “Gitmo beach rulez!”. I thought Jim was being hyperbolic, but he’s not. This guy should have gotten waterboarded to get the full Gitmo experience.

Well, Jim, at Pajamas TV, they know that anything becomes fun if it happens in a tropical setting. Caribbean slavery? It just gave those Rasta dudes a chance to chill out in the islands, smoke some ganja, and eat breadfruit. Torture prisons? Actually, they got me from the beginning with those awesome “24″-style graphics.
Yup. Because, you know, on most bases, the troops and the prisoners are treated exactly the same. On some really crowded bases they even share barracks! It’s just like here, if you think about it, where our prisoners live in the same accommodations as the prison guards and the regular citizens in surrounding areas. I know I personally see the inmates from the local medium security prison at the ice cream shops, go kart tracks and high school football fields all the time.

I don’t know, Jim, your previous assertions re: the worst thing since the Cambrian explosion may have been premature. This is definitely terrible beyond the scope of our mere 233 years of history.

Oh and I just LOVED the part about how gitmo has less prisoner-on-prisoner violence than American prisons. It really is amazing how they manage that, since half of them sleep “dorm-style,” with a few dozen bunks per room, and almost all their waking hours are free time with the run of the yard or the day room, where they mingle with all the other prisoners, spotting each other on weights and playing chess. Just like an American prison. Right.
